By adding an appropriate amount of free-cutting composition, the ASK brand dramatically improves machinability and facilitates parts processing.

Austenitic stainless steel
Stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and non-magnetic, represented by SUS304.
Among stainless steels, austenitic stainless steels are considered to be difficult to machine because it is highly work hardened.
ASK brand contains appropriate amounts of sulfur, lead, tellurium, etc., and is suitable for parts processing that is difficult with JIS steel.
Among the ASK brands, ASK-8000 is a stainless steel with high hardness and high corrosion resistance that does not require heat treatment or surface treatment.
By omitting various surface treatments (quenching, plating, etc.) after part processing, it contributes to total cost reduction, including lead time reduction.

Ferritic stainless steel
Stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, represented by SUS430.
We have ASK-3200, etc., which has both corrosion resistance comparable to SUS303 and machinability comparable to free-cutting steel.
ASK-3200 is also used for electromagnetic parts due to its excellent magnetic properties.
Among them, ASK-3200R is a Pb-free ferritic super free-cutting stainless steel with bismuth added, which has the same machinability, corrosion resistance and magnetic properties as ASK-3200.
It fully complies with restrictions on the use of environmentally hazardous substances such as RoHS.

Martensitic stainless steel
Stainless steel which hardness increases by quenching, represented by SUS410 and SUS420.
SUS410 type with good machinability is often used without quenching.
SUS420 type is used for parts that require wear resistance, so quenching is a prerequisite.
Among them, ASK-3900 is a stainless steel with hardness equivalent to SUS440C and corrosion resistance equivalent to SUS630.
ASK-3900 also responds to needs for small diameter parts such as precision parts and medical equipment that require high hardness and corrosion resistance.
Furthermore, it has good machinability and contributes to the improvement of part accuracy.
