The challenge to manufacturing is with our history
The challenge to manufacturing is with our history

Our history is a history of challenges.
It was “a challenge to support the customer’s challenge”. In the 1930s, when industry began to grow in Japan, we succeeded in manufacturing free-cutting steel, which until then depended on imports.

In order to support the mass production of customers during the period of economic growth, we have developed one after another ASK Band with excellent free-cutting performance. In response to rising labor costs, we have supported our customers’ efforts to save labor by supplying high-precision, high-quality products.
After the collapse of the Japanese economic bubble, we started operations in China and Vietnam as our customers globalized. In recent years, due to the growing interest in environmental conservation, we have been working on the development of products that replace lead, which is a free-cutting component, with an alternative component. We continue to develop high hardness and high corrosion resistant steel required in the medical field and various other applications.

Toward the realization of carbon neutrality, the free-cutting and high quality of our products will contribute to energy conservation through reduced material loss and unmanned operation at manufacturing sites. Looking ahead to our 100th anniversary in 2027, we will continue to take on the challenge of supporting our customers’ social contributions.
